The International Federation of Film Producers Associations’ third
annual labour
relations seminar will take place on Sunday 21st May 2006 at the Cannes
Novotel
-Montfleury (10 a.m. - 4 p.m.)
New Media is the hot topic for film and TV producers and executives
at the moment, and to reflect the topicality and urgency of the issue
we have decided to make a late change to the
subject of our seminar, and this year's topic for discussion will
be:
Talent and rights issues in New Media Uses of Film and TV Content.
It is clear that producers and executives around the world are all
trying to grapple with new issues in this field and to keep pace
with rapid technological changes. Now is the perfect time for us
to get together and share our knowledge.
The seminar will provide delegates with a valuable opportunity to
exchange views on how producers can secure and administer the necessary
rights from talent and other rights owners to allow them fully to
exploit the opportunities in new media. We will look at how producers
and executives are meeting these challenges around the world, and
debate some practical new ideas on how to deal with talent and rights
issues.
As with the previous two seminars, the event will bring together senior
executives and producers for a stimulating and creative session on
this major issue.
