FIAPF’s remit is to represent and promote film
and television producers’ economic and legal interests in all
international forums whose decisions may affect the current equilibrium
and future prospects of the sector.
In particular, FIAPF is active in,
- the promotion and defense of copyright
and economic exploitation rights in the context of international
negotiations on copyright and related-rights’ legislation
- participation
in the global struggle against piracy
- advocacy for the adoption
of secure broadband technologies that meet consumer expectations
whilst also discouraging hacking and illegal
copying
- advocacy for the development of market-led and public
sector financing solutions for film and television production
